Leeds Ip Man Wing Chun (Leeds Ip Man)

About this business

I began my martial arts journey at 8 when my father took me and my brother to a Judo class. It wasn’t until later that I found Wing Chun after studying Karate and Taekwondo for a few years.

Wing Chun struck me immediately as something different. It was light and fast, and I was intrigued. I continued with various other styles over the years but none to the extent of Wing Chun which I have stuck with for over 30 years. Our school offers martial arts classes in Leeds and Bradford for adults.

I originally trained with Sifu Colin Ward and trained under his instruction for over 20 years, opening a school in 2010. More recently I’ve sought out instruction from other experienced Wing Chun teachers, including training in the Shu Shong‑Tin lineage with Sifu Daniel Parr in Sheffield.
