Griffen Fitness
Personal training in Edinburgh, online, outdoors or in a Leith studio.

About this business
Griffen Fitness is run by Tracy, who qualified as a fitness instructor in 2002 and as a Personal Trainer with aerobics and aqua aerobics qualifications. She launched Griffen Fitness in 2005, initially riding her bike to clients' homes and workplaces around Edinburgh, and opened a private studio just off Leith Walk in 2010. The studio is described as a lovely airy and bright private space.
Training is offered online, outdoors or in the Leith studio, with no groups, no templates and no gimmicks. The Get Me Fit package is tailored to the individual and takes into account lifestyle and goals; over five sessions clients are taught how to get fit without a gym, and all workouts can be done from home. Reluctant exercisers, seniors and anyone recovering from injury or illness are explicitly welcomed.
Tracy is the author of two fitness books, Get Fit & Enjoy It: Learn Effective Exercise without a Gym, published in lockdown 2020, and the Healthy Living Yearbook, published in 2010. She has collected accreditations from BodyBalance (2005) to boxing (2007), kettlebells (2009) and GP Referral (2015), completed an SVQ2 in Mental Health problems over lockdown, added Covid-19 Rehabilitation certification in July 2021, and completed an Advanced Nutrition and Sports Supplementation REPS level 4 course in 2012.
