AIKO Lighting Co., Ltd.

AIKO Lighting Co., Ltd. describes itself in its own published material as a lighting supplier working on sports and aquatic venues. In a company post about an indoor swimming pool project, it explains that clients who contact it for pool lighting upgrades share a common problem: even when enough LED fixtures are installed and pool surface illuminance meets standard requirements, athletes still report harsh glare and disturbing reflections from the water surface.

The company attributes this to lighting calculations that ignore diffuse reflection interference, particularly from highly reflective white and light-toned ceilings and walls. For the indoor pool project it describes, it adopted an indirect lighting solution in which LED floodlights are positioned to project upwards, casting light onto high-reflectance ceilings (70–85%) and walls (60–75%), which then diffuses the light softly down to the pool area and water surface.

AIKO states that it used AGI32 lighting simulation and pseudo-color analysis to adjust fixture spacing and aiming angles, with the stated results being pool surface illuminance and uniformity that comply with competition standards, elimination of direct glare and water reflections that distract athletes, and conversion of high-reflectivity building surfaces into a uniform, soft secondary light source.
